Masterclass Overview

Week 1: Leading neurodiverse teams: unlocking strengths, not fixing differences
Wednesday, September 2 at 12pm AEST
Neurodiversity is becoming an increasingly important focus in modern workplaces, as awareness grows around the wide range of cognitive differences – including ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and more. For managers and leaders, understanding how to recognise, support, and harness diverse ways of thinking is critical to building high-performing, inclusive teams.
This masterclass explores how neurodivergent individuals experience the workplace, the unique strengths they bring, and the systemic and environmental barriers they may face. Leaders will leave equipped with practical strategies to create environments where all employees can thrive – driving innovation, engagement, and productivity.
Facilitated by: Sam Harper is an experienced Psychologist with 25 years of experience, and is Head of Service Delivery at Assure Programs.

Week 2: R U OK? Starting meaningful conversations that matter
Thursday, September 12th at 12pm AEST
R U OK? Day is a powerful reminder of the role we all play in supporting the mental wellbeing of those around us. While the question itself is simple, knowing how to ask it genuinely – and respond with confidence – can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
This masterclass goes beyond awareness to build practical, everyday skills for checking in with others in a supportive and respectful way. Participants will learn how to recognise when someone may be struggling, approach conversations with empathy, and respond appropriately while maintaining their own boundaries.
By building confidence and capability in these moments, this session empowers individuals to support the people in their lives with greater empathy and understanding. Whether it’s a friend, family member, or colleague, you’ll feel more equipped to recognise when someone may need support and to respond in a way that feels genuine, helpful, and respectful.
Facilitated by: Kristen Orazi is an accredited Social Worker with more than two decade experience working with individuals, families and communities.
Nessie Srouji is an experienced counsellor who specialises in trauma-informed care, migration-related challenges, and grief support.

Week 3: Neuroscience of high performance
Wednesday, September 16 at 12pm AEST
The most important asset in any organisation is… the brains of your people!
In the past 20 years, there has been a dramatic increase in our understanding of the human brain, how it functions and learns. Many of the older ideas and strategies around learning and memory have been shown to be incorrect and recent findings paint a very different picture of the human brain and its capacity for productivity, innovation and creativity. We have the opportunity to learn and adapt our practices to incorporate many of these findings into new strategies.
The focus of this presentation is on how we can use neuroscience to implement strategies that improve learning, memory, productivity, innovation and, most importantly, health and wellbeing
Facilitated by: Dr Mark Williams is an internationally recognised neuroscientist and bestselling author who has spoken to audiences across the globe.

Week 4: A physio’s guide to testing your physical health — how do you stack up?
Wednesday, September 23 at 12pm AEST
We’re used to getting regular health check-ups – monitoring blood pressure, cholesterol, and other internal markers – but we rarely assess our physical health in the same way. Strength, mobility, balance, and fitness can quietly decline over time, often without obvious symptoms until they begin to affect performance, increase injury risk, or limit daily activities. For many people, the last time they completed a meaningful physical test was back in school, yet the body has changed significantly since then.
In this masterclass, you’ll learn how to assess your physical health using simple, evidence-based tests commonly used in physiotherapy and performance settings. You’ll gain insight into how you compare to normative benchmarks, identify hidden weaknesses, and understand what your results mean for your overall health. Most importantly, you’ll leave with practical steps you can take to improve your strength, mobility, and long-term physical resilience.
Facilitated by: Jerome Lugo is a Physiotherapist and the Practice Principal at Lifecare Malvern Sports Medicine. He has been a physiotherapist for the AFL State League Umpires Program, Victorian Metro Basketball Teams, and Victorian State Volleyball Teams. As a strength and conditioning coach with a track and field background, Jerome has a clinical interest in using a biomechanical approach to treating everything from osteoarthritis to running related injuries.

Week 5: Leading with confidence: essential skills for modern managers
Wednesday September 30 at 12pm AEST
Build the confidence to lead with clarity and impact in today’s complex workplace. This engaging masterclass helps managers recognise and normalise imposter syndrome, while developing a leadership style that is both supportive and effective.
You’ll explore how to balance coaching and care with performance management, including navigating behavioural challenges and emotionally charged situations. Through practical frameworks and real case discussions, you’ll gain tools to lead authentically while managing your own workload and responsibilities.
The session also highlights how supportive leadership can help identify and manage psychosocial risks, enabling you to create a safe, resilient, and high-performing team environment.
Facilitated by: Elisa Walther is a highly experienced psychologist with 30 years experience consulting to and working within SME’s as well as large organisations.

Week 6: How to hack your habits
Wednesday October 7 at 12pm AEST
Looking for ways to hack your habits and become more productive? Our modern lifestyle and constantly evolving technology plays havoc with our habits and routines. Many modern devices are designed to capture your attention and drive you to distraction. They are hacking your normal habitual behaviour. This is affecting productivity, resilience, curiosity, creativity, innovation, and mental health.
Habitual behaviour is an adaptive mechanism that evolved to allow us to concentrate on other things. Think about all the things you do every day without concentrating on them – making coffee/tea, driving to work, showering, brushing teeth. checking your email etc. How and why our brains are able to do this is fascinating, and understanding this provides simple ways you can change habits to become more productive both at home and at work.
In an informative and challenging course, Dr Mark covers:
- The neuroscience of habits
- Why good habits and patterns are important
- How bad habits can impact your productivity and health
- Why bad habits form when change happens
- How modern technology affects our habits
- How to get your time and productivity back
Dr Mark will discuss many helpful tips and strategies that we can all easily implement to establish good habits in our lives and get bad habits under control.
Facilitated by: Dr Mark Williams is an internationally recognised neuroscientist and bestselling author who has spoken to audiences across the globe. Recently featured on 60 Minutes in the Brain Drain episode, he unpacked the emerging evidence on how digital devices are reshaping developing brains.
Drawing on decades of research, Dr Mark reveals the brain’s extraordinary potential—and the ways modern environments can either support or undermine it. His presentations leave audiences rethinking their habits, their relationships, and their capacity to thrive in a hyperconnected world
